Genesis has developed GenEBook solutions
by automating and converting the paper based
and electronic documents on a searchable
and non-editable database.
Some Features of Gen E-book:
The information available on the Media
would be secure and accessible only to
classified users. Whole information databank
would be made available on a media such
as CD-ROM, which would be accessible by
a resident software engine. The access to
such a media would be restricted by a Security
Management System (SMS) which would have
role and rights defined so that only privileged
person has access to the database.
All stored data will be searchable on al
kinds of keywords. Searching of
information based on Keywords is integrated
feature of the software. The keyword searches
can be invoked from the interface of the
software, which can be based on keywords
or referenced words. Historical searches
can also be stored for later use. Searched
text / sentence would be highlighted for
reference. Further we can search continuously
for each occurrence of the searched indices.
Entire information warehouse would be Hyper
linked to different sections and various
other documents which would provide ease
of navigation to the user.
There are several instances where certain
references are required during the course
of information being referenced, and which
are required instantly; these references
can now be instantly referenced using Hyperlinks.
Upon clicking the same user is instantly
transported to the page referenced.
Features like BACK, FORWARD, HOME are also
available for ease of navigation.
Other features that are customizable and
available on demand are:
Adding remarks to sections which
can also be referenced later using search. Facility
of adding remarks is very useful in situation
where if one section is referenced and we
want to incorporate certain comments or
any relevant data which may be use in future
OR we want to store some footnotes or observations
or discussion details on that specific section;
in these situation Remark facility comes
use to keep the information ready on fingertips
that can be called when required.
Annotation of Keywords/References. If
we want to supplement some more keywords
or reference to our standard information
databank we may make it annotable so that
we can insert that information.
Adding and deleting bookmarks. Bookmarks
are defined as certain positions in the
file, which serves as sort of sub-index
to the rest of document. These may be headings
/ sub-headings / Diagrams or any thing else
that needs to be brought out which searching
or outlining certain sections in the entire
text.
Copying information to other documents
using Windows clipboard. Information from
sections can be copied on Windows® Clipboard
and can be later used for pasting the information
into other documents.
Page fitting/ Width fitting. For
better visibility of certain sections feature
of Page Fitting / Width Fitting can be provided
which will on the click of a button fit
the entire width of the page (currently
in View) on the screen removing any unwanted
portion. Similarly entire page can also
be fitted on the screen.
Zoom in/Zoom out. For better visibility
of certain sections feature of Page Fitting
/ Width Fitting can be provided which will
on the click of a button fit the entire

User level interface
personalization for future use and
user-friendliness. User
Level personalization may also be provided
as an add on feature for complete control
over what you see. This will keep a record
of the user preferences including his recently
viewed history and other items such as colors
/ controls etc.
Export of information to other formats. Export
of information to other known format such
as Adobe(r) PDF / MS Word(r) / etc. can
also be provided on demand. Similarly import
feature can also be provided to accommodate
information from other formats.
Printing features (Network support also available). Printing
support can also be made available for both
Network / Desktop environment. Printing
can also be made into other printing languages
such as Post Script.
Web based sharing/Email support. This
solution can also be deployed on the Internet
to enable collaborative sharing and also
support for emailing the document to any
email address. This effort can also be made
auditable to store (audit trails).
